Hello Everyone,
My name is Jaci Achak. I am 15 years of age and live with my Mom, Blandina. I have a 2-month-old sister, Charisa and a step-father, Hesutu. I have long black hair with dark brown eyes. I am a very dark shade in skin tone. We don’t have any education here, so our days are spent helping our parents around the house and garden. We live on an island called Guanahani in a small village known to us as Moga. The population here is very small with only 1 000 people. My best friend on this island is Doli and she lives right next door to me. We do all sorts of things together, like fishing and flower picking. Moga is centered around peace and harmony. Everyone in Moga is very relaxed and laid back. We grow the majority of our food in gardens and catch all the fish we eat. Sometimes, if we have enough money, we buy cheap beer. Blandina and Hesutu both work to support Charisa and I, but we still don’t have very much money as the pay is not good. Most of Hesutu’s friends from work live with us, so we have a house full of about 14 men. It is nice to have so much company and people around you, though. Well, I have to go to church…we are very religious around here and it is the top priority in Moga.
